FTR Minutes

FTR Minutes also streamlines the minutes approval process and makes it easier for councils, boards and commissions to share meeting proceedings with the public.

FTR Minutes is a companion product to FTR MinuteMaker that offers clerks and meeting participants with an easy and efficient way to take notes during meetings. Ordinarily, meeting participants take notes during meetings and try to remember the details of what happened while they're reading the notes. FTR Minutes takes the "guess work" out of this process by making it possible for them to take notes that can be easily verified against the actual recorded meeting proceedings.

Producing a set of meeting minutes usually requires recording a meeting using a tape recorder while taking notes by hand, and then creating minutes while referring to the notes and listening to the tape. FTR MinuteMaker condenses this tedious process into one easy step by combining everything a clerk needs to digitally record meetings while simultaneously taking notes in Microsoft® Word.

Each note automatically generates a time-stamp with a dynamic hyperlink to the exact part of the related audio where the note was taken. Users can then click on each link and listen to the proceeding to be sure their notes are complete and accurate. FTR Minutes also includes convenient shortcut tools to record attendance and voting results quickly and accurately. Representatives, meeting chairpersons and other participants can use FTR Minutes to verify what was actually said and decided during meetings, and to easily locate and listen to portions of the meeting that are relevant to them.
