BM23MK2 - Standard Cassette Dictating Recorder

The Sony BM-23MK2 Standard Cassette Dictator allows you to do just that with a few additional features that might come in handy. The BM-23MK2 has a slide switch control providing you with instant dictation, stop, rewind, and listening functions with just the flick of a finger. The LCD tape counter shows you exactly where you are on the tape, so you can quickly edit or listen to different passages. Other features include Voice Operated Recording (VOR) and automatic motor shut-off.

  • LCD Tape Counter: uses a bright Liquid Crystal Display to give you a numerical indication of tape length, for rapid access when editing and listening.
  • Voice Operated Recording (VOR) With Mic Sensitivity Adjustment:
    permits activation of the recorder only when VOR senses audible sound, to conserve tape and eliminates soundless pauses during playback.
  • Battery LED/Voice Mirror: confirms recording by mirroring voice with LED illumination, and also provides indication of relative battery strength.
  • Safety Lock: prevents accidential operation while carrying the unit.
  • End of Tape Alarm/Automatic Motor Shutoff: alerts you that the end of the tape has been reached and helps to reduce mechanical wear and conserve batteries.
  • Cue and review: provides sound during Fast Forward or Rewind to help find specific passages.
  • Microphone Jack: allows you to connect an optional microphone.
  • AC Compatibility: permits two-way operation, on available replaceable batteries or optional AC power adaptor.
  • Earphone Jack: for individual listening to the playback and for privacy without disturbing others, using optional earphone.
